John K. Bryan

John graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987 with Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. He was a Merit Scholar and on the Dean's List. He received his Master's degree in International Affairs in 1991 from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, where he received an Academic Fellowship. That same year, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, having received a Law Fellowship from the University. He placed first in the 1989-90 Appellate Moot Court "Best Brief" Competition, winning the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research and Writing.

Following graduation, John worked for three years at a small Pittsburgh defense firm before joining Zimmer Kunz in November of 1994. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The principal areas of his civil litigation practice are products liability, general and premises liability, gas and electric utility liability, auto liability and appellate practice.

John is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny Bar Associations. He belongs to the Defense Research Institute and is a member of DRI's Recreational Products Special Litigation Group.
