Mr. Ramaley is presently serving as President/Managing Partner of Zimmer Kunz, PLLC, having assumed the position in 2006. Mr. Ramaley is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Ohio where he represents insurance carriers, their insureds and self-insured entities in a variety of litigation matters. These include general tort defense, insurance coverage matters and the defense of insurance carriers in alleged bad faith cases. Mr. Ramaley has also handled the defense of professionals, government entities, directors and officers, and construction and surety related matters.

Before starting private practice, Mr. Ramaley served as a judicial law clerk in the Trial and Appeals Courts of Pennsylvania. Mr. Ramaley has lectured at numerous CLE programs and client presentations. He serves on the editorial staff of the Pittsburgh Legal Journal and is a Chairman for Arbitration Panels in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Mr. Ramaley is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Mr. Ramaley has successfully litigated alleged insurance bad faith and coverage cases through the appellate process resulting in a number of published opinions including: Blood v. Old Guard Ins. Co., 934 A.2d 1218(Pa. 2007); Progressive Northern Ins. Co. v. Universal Underwriters Ins. Co., 898 A.2d 1116(Pa. Super. 2006); Koenig v. Progressive Ins. Co., 599 A.2d 690(Pa. Super. 1991); Morrison v. Mountain Laurel Assurance Co., 748 A.2d 689(Pa. Super. 2000), and; Brown v. Progressive Ins. Co., 860 A.2d 493(Pa. Super. 2004). Mr. Ramaley was the 2008 recipient of Westfield Insurance Company's Golden Gavel Award for his handling of the Blood v. Old Guard Insurance Company case from the trial court level through its successful appeal to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

When not practicing law, Mr. Ramaley tends to his family, including two daughters, and the vigorous pursuit of long distance road bicycle riding, including a number of charity rides to raise money for those charities.
