George R. Farneth II
Mr. Farneth is a shareholder at Zimmer Kunz. He attended Wake Forest University and the University of Pittsburgh where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree summa cum laude with honors and was awarded the Distinction of University Scholar in 1985. Mr. Farneth obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1988.
Mr. Farneth concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home and personal care home litigation; personal injury; product liability; transportation and trucking litigation, insurance defense litigation; commercial litigation; construction litigation; and domestic relations matters.
Mr. Farneth is admitted to practice in all state courts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as the United States District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the Southern District of West Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also been admitted to practice, pro hac vice, in Florida, Ohio and South Carolina. Mr. Farneth is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, Pennsylvania Association of Justice, Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, National Football League Players Association, the Legal Aid Society of Pittsburgh and Neighborhood Legal Services. Mr. Farneth has also served for several years as a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and has served as a fundraiser for numerous charities and philanthropic groups.
Mr. Farneth is married to Maria Frederick Farneth and has four children, Ross, who is serving in the United States Air Force, Brian, Kristina and Justin. Mr. Farneth is actively involved in his children’s athletic and extracurricular activities and has been a member of and coach for the Penn Hills Baseball Association since 1993 and the Treasurer of the Association since 2006. Mr. Farneth has also served as a member of the Mount Oliver Borough Planning Commission.
