Edward K. Dixon
Mr. Dixon is a Pittsburgh native who received his Bachelor’s degree in 1974 from Southern Illinois University. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1984 from Duquesne University.
In 1986 Mr. Dixon began serving as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Francis A. Barry of the Commonwealth Court in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1987 Mr. Dixon accepted a position as staff counsel for Travelers Insurance Company in its workers’ compensation department. Mr. Dixon joined Zimmer Kunz when it was formed in April of 1988. His practice has been devoted to workers’ compensation litigation and appeals. He also practices social security, unemployment compensation and employment law. He was named a shareholder in 1993.
Mr. Dixon is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations as well as an officer in its workers’ compensation section. He lectures frequently on workers’ compensation topics. Mr. Dixon is also admitted to practice the Western District of Pennsylvania and before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
