Anthony C. Carone
Mr. Carone received his Bachelor degree, cum laude, in 1988 in history from Mercyhurst College in Erie PA. He received his Juris Doctor Degree in 1991 from Duquesne University where he was a contributing member of the writing staff for JURIS, the School of Law news magazine. During law school he worked as a law clerk for Zimmer Kunz.
After graduation Mr. Carone was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He was also admitted to practice in the state of West Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. He stayed on with Zimmer Kunz as an associate practicing in the area of general liability defense. His defense practice eventually turned to workers' compensation which is Mr. Carone's sole area of practice. He has represented insurance carriers and self-insured employers before the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, Commonwealth Court and Supreme Court of Pennsylvania for ten years. He also represents carriers and employers in workers' compensation matters in the State of West Virginia.
Mr. Carone is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Allegheny County Bar Association workers' compensation section and the Pittsburgh Claims Association.
